…causes the government to deprive its citizens of the ability to freely think for themselves, the ability to have a loving relationship, and gain the ability to control the emotional well-being of its citizens. After reading these two novels, one may think that the advancement of technology is something we should avoid. This is false, for the use of technology depends on whose hands it falls into and the motives they have behind using it.
