A Rose for Emily

In the story "A Rose for Emily" by William Faulkner, the beginning is set with the death of Emily Grierson. The setting that Faulkner uses with the place and the time, allows the reader to get a better understanding of Miss Emily's lonely world. …is remarkable and sometimes horrendous to believe. It can cause one to do terrible things as is seen in this story. It seemed to be the town that got what they wanted out of Miss Emily's lonesome life, much to gossip about for a very long time. In the end they still got what they wanted and poor Miss Emily died in loneliness instead of the townspeople gossiping about her they could have befriended her.
