PLANNING:
Aim: To find out the affect on the resistance of certain wires when a variable is changed. Are shorter, fatter wires or longer, thinner wires best for transferring the energy per second in the context of designing a heating element?
Investigation 1) To find out how the length of the wire affects the resistance of the wire.
Investigation 2) To find out how the diameter of the wire affects the resistance of the wire.
Prediction:
Investigation 1) I predict that as the wire increases in length the showed first 85 words of 6903 total

showed last 85 words of 6903 total where very close to those predicted, to 2 d.p. This proves that the investigation had reliable and accurate results as they are close to the predicted ones and the predicted results or results are no more than - 0.10 Ω or + 0.4 Ω apart from each other.
This shows that the apparatus were accurate. This therefore means that the graph is reliable.
I would extend my investigation by seeing how the amount of atoms in the wire affects the resistance or how the weight of the wire has an affect.
