An important project that was in its early stages at GR&AP dealt with commercial sex workers. The department undertook to write a comparative paper on laws related to commercial sex work around the world. I was originally asked to do the research for Canada, and later on was assigned New Zealand, Thailand, Nepal, and India. The church bribed immigration officials to have him deported despite the fact that he had already applied for asylum and hence lawfully entitled to remain in the country pending the outcome of his case. After learning of his abduction by the church members and immigration's plans to have him deported, I attended the airport and had an emergency interdict drafted to halt the deportation.
