Amsterdam and The Hague
The Netherlands contains many cities, two of the most important of these being Amsterdam and The Hague. Both of are known internationally, but each serve different functions in Dutch society and beyond. In this essay I will compare and contrast these two cities regarding aspects of tourism, trade and government.

To conclude Amsterdam and The Hague both have tourist attractions, but Amsterdam’s tourist industry is far greater as it appeals to a wider range of tourists.
This is also the case for foreign businesses as large Dutch companies and banks are often centered in the area of Amsterdam. However, The Hague plays a far greater role in foreign as well as local affairs as it is the centre of the Dutch government.
