Throughout the twentieth century many different governments surfaced. These governments, bent on cutting out their own piece of world power, did whatever it took to keep them above the rest of the world. Using historical examples one can see the relationship from the novel to actual events during the 1930's. Using brainwashed youth, an ignorant society, and a strong ability to influence others among others the Nazi party was able to make them a world power. They were able to come out as one of the top governments of the twentieth century right before their humiliating downfall.
