It is one of America's favorite sports, a game of high flying athletes, but most of all, a game of art and creativity; this is the game of basketball. The derivation of basketball, the establishing of the National Basketball Association, and how the game has evolved through the years. From its very start in Massachusetts basketball has changed in just about every way and has made its way to become one of America's favorite sports. Naismith could have only imagined that when he made his idea into a reality it would become so successful and set the standard for other sports.
