Beowulf-Pride

The epic poem Beowulf was written around the mid 700's neither an exact date nor an author is known. Beowulf becomes famous by defeating horrible monsters, such as Grendel and Grendel's mother. Beowulf has pride in himself and in his battles. Before he leaves for his homeland, Hrothgar warns Beowulf about the dangers that are involved with pride. …are built by money and in most cases today you would never see someone from a trailer park friends with someone who lives in a mansion. People today have not really changed, money is something that will always be the basis of life, no matter where you are from or how you have been raised. Money is the basis of society and should not have to be, society should be based on morals and ethics.
