Children and TV Violence

…violence is almost inevitable. Talking to children about the images and messages they are exposed to on TV will give them an alternative way to interpret what they see. (Aidman) By doing this, children learn to become more critical viewers. In the end, it is the hopes of parents that children will understand that violence is not glamorous or funny, but that violence is very much real-life and can have serious consequences if taken lightly.
