…times, there would be less corruption of government. These three schools of Chinese philosophy all helped the development of Chinese society and government in great ways. Confucianism helped show people their place in the society and life, Legalism helped show people the consequences of their actions, and Daoism helped show people how less government can mean a better government. Therefore all three were important in the development of ancient China in their own special ways.
