…showed last 85 words of 260 total…this book falls upon those full of slavery and sexism. It is very hard for Celie, Nettie and Shug to get respect much less lead happy lives.
Although Celie led a horrible life she was able to live it day to day, and not dwell on the cards that life had given her in the past. She is over all a very pleasant women throughout the whole book, only letting jealously take over once or twice through the book.
