I have been at FAU for three months. I have made many friends, and my life did an enormous change. I could not have imagined a better result after my first year away from home, in a new culture. Now, I not only have my friends from my country, but also our friends from all over. I thought that my classmates would not really talk to me, or not try and hang out with me …

…it doesn't for me. Much like Guaman Poma, I learned the ways at FAU, and now am part of the life here. I had to overcome a culture clash through transculuration, and create a new lifestyle for myself. I still enjoy going home to see my friends and family, but I enjoy staying at FAU too. I am glad I choose to attend FAU, and I am looking forward to the next four years here.
