What is enlightenment? This is a question which has many different meanings and interpretations. Enlightenment seems to be a focal point of many religions throughout the world. This means that religions, such as Buddhism, believe in reaching a higher state of existence. From a literary point of view enlightenment is an education that results in understanding and the spread of knowledge while also allowing the individual to transcend desire and achieve complete and total bliss.

So, imagine the only religion on Earth was Buddhism. Would there be any wars in the world? Would mankind finally be able to achieve world peace? Think about it.
