Federalism

During the time surrounding the debate of federalism, many different opinions and views were held concerning the type of government that the newly formed United States should adapt. Most people fell into the category of federalist or anti-federalist. Federalist were in favor of a strong central government and in favor of the Constitution. …bills concerning money must originate in the House. This allows states to have power and a say in the economy so that the national government is not a tyranny. The Constitution of the United States was built in such a manner to not become a tyranny and over power the states, but to ensure stability in many areas of the country as a whole. These areas include economy, defense, and general welfare of the country.
