Hence during this period women held banishment from entering palaces, shrines and other places where rituals took place. In conclusion, the importance of feminine virtues in the Ibo tribe held high regard among the people of the tribe. Although women held such high regard in the tribe, they still had little, if any respect beyond bearing children and succumbing to wifehood.
