Having Our Say

History from eyes I can see through is the first thing I thought after turning the last page. The book took me for a ride through time with the Delany sisters it talked about there brothers and sisters (Lemuel, Julia, Henry JR, Lucius, William, Hubert, Laura, & Samuel) there struggles as kids and as adults. Having Our Say teaches valuable lessons about life that should be a model to live by such as the family, hard …

…and did the right thing and were rewarded. I really enjoyed the book and would recommend it as a good reading for anyone. It really touched home for me even more because after doing additional research I found that my family was friends with the Delanys and my Great grandfather was laid to rest at the Delany Funeral Home in New York. The book is inspirational, educational, and historical I would love to learn more.
