…revolutions have proved to be successful when instigated in the right circumstances. Where there is popular support and the support of armed forces, revolutions have proved to be very successful, at least in the short term. Later the supposedly revolutionary leaders often descend into dictatorship. In general however there is a great deal of evidence to suggest that Revolutions often result in world changing consequences, especially for the local populations of the countries in question.
