How does Gaveston And Edward Set The Tone of The Play?

…lords and nobles. There will officially be a lot of tension and conflict and this will create differences and distance. The king would probably listen to the lords and nobles if Gaveston was not around and that is what the lords and nobles want but since he is the lords and nobles want him out of the picture. He seems to be the one man who causes the distance between the rest of the characters.
