Illusions in "The Glass Menagerie"

Within the play, "The Glass Menagerie," by Tennessee Williams, characters have many illusions which keep them from facing the harshness of reality. Such characters are Amanda Wingfield and her two children who are in their twenties named Tom and Laura. Each of them had their own problems that they were facing, and to feel better, they would believe in things that they though were true or should be true, instead of things that actually are true. Finally, by the end, most of their illusions are resolved, leaving them with the bitter actuality of their life.
