Manitoba is one of Canada’s three Prairie Provinces. It lies midway between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Winnipeg is the capital of Manitoba. It is also its largest city. Winnipeg is the main transportation center linking eastern and western Canada. It is also the providence’s main industrial center where most of the population of Manitoba lives.

The debate over providing all services in French still continues. Much of central Winnipeg has become rundown. The province has increased because of government services, but taxes have no been increased to compensate. Because Manitoba’s economy is based of goods and services, it has stayed stable. The cost of living in Manitoba is one of the lowest in Canada. Unemployed has remained low and the population has grown steadily.
