"Napoleon I is sometimes called the greatest enlightened despot." Evaluate this assessment in terms of Napoleon I's policies and accomplishments. He also strengthened France, economically and militaristically, and created a sense of nationalism in France. By keeping everyone happy, he made the people follow and obey him, and prevented any revolts against the government or within France, and built up the power of France in Europe.
