…old companion, his sheep dog. Pain and suffering was very usual. Motivation (like dreams of a better tomorrow) created effort in surpassing each obstacle that life created. It was not enough to overcome pain and suffering during the Great Depression. Happiness and success were a priority during this era, John Steinbeck made it known it could not been brought into effect. It is usual that people try to forget this tainted interval of American history.
