…showed last 85 words of 475 total…George would be held accountable for his crime, no matter what his reasons were. However, I strongly believe that he made a loving and compassionate decision. It was in no way an easy thing to do, although it was the right choice in my eyes. He avoided the horrible death that awaited Lennie and replaced it with a quick and painless one. Killing a man is rarely done with any sort of good intention, but in this case, it was clearly an act of love.
