“Reasons for Leaving”
There are many reasons why people from Saskatchewan leave to seek
employment and further their education elsewhere. It is harder to get ahead here than it
is in other places. This province has a lot of drawbacks.
I am originally from a small farming community in the southwest part of the
province. Most communities in this province are small and based around agriculture.
Since the agriculture industry is doing so poorly a lot of communities are suffering.

hospital in every town. They never thought about the cost of upkeep. They also never
thought about the debt loads that they left future governments.
Although there is a lot to offer in Saskatchewan, there is a lot more to offer in our
neighbour province of Alberta. The benefit to staying here are outweighed by the
drawbacks. I am currently living in Saskatchewan, but I feel as though it might not
always be this way. There is a lot more to offer me elsewhere.
