…the state of man and his relationship to God and to others. Crusoe's spiritual quest and journey began after his physical one halted. "Thus we never see the true state of our condition till it is illustrated to us by its contraries; nor know how to value what we enjoy, but by the want of it" (p. 154). If we desire to get close to God, we must put aside the world and concentrate on Him.
