…to remember is, there's a reason. Wrong, confused, skewed, garbled though it may be, there's always a reason in the back of that killer's mind. This doesn't mean that as responsible citizens and jurors we should let him go unpunished. It does mean that as authors we should be vitally aware of what the real reason is, because it has to be logical...in the killer's mind. It has to make sense to the killer.
