When I think of stereotyped social groups, the first group I think of are Goths. The media projects them as a negative social group, Satanists, and a possible reason of the Columbine school shooting. I had the chance to go see what the gothic community is like when I stayed with my cousin in Dallas a year ago.

showed last 85 words of 429 total s view and the truth about Goths is society looks at the “strange behavior” such as dyeing their hair, the makeup they use, and the clothes they wear whereas the Goths are just making a stand to be different and get respect in the process.
I enjoyed the time I spent with the Goths and am happy to have learned about a subculture I did not understand. The media, in my opinion, needs to look toward the true aspects and stop stereotyping the gothic culture.
