After thinking about my family and lack of heritage, I think that families should try and hold onto some beliefs and traditions, but learn the language and laws of their new country. It is just a balance, trying to make both sides work together. This way, future generations have knowledge of where they came from and beliefs, but the two nationalities are not as drastically different as in Fadime's story.
