There were too many poor people, a surplus of production and unemployment was at an all time high. …and lasted up until the start of World War II in about 1937. Many deprived humans in America went through a great deal of suffering before the end of the Depression due to having no money, therefore, no food. But when Roosevelt was elected, he did all he could to make the best of this situation and got America out of the pits and back on track. He also started many businesses to prevent job losses.
