…pierced their skulls. These animals existed in very poor conditions, especially te 'sterrly' cattle that developed boils. Now that I have read The Jungle, I am amazed that so many people didn't die from eating food made in such poor conditions. I was very much pesuaded into becoming a vegetarian, as were many others who have read this book. I was skeptical about reading this book at first, but I'm really glad that I did.
