With the increase in the number of middle-class users of marijuana in the 1960s and 1970s, there came a somewhat greater acceptance of the view that marijuana should not be considered in the same class as narcotics and that U.S. marijuana laws should be relaxed. People must understand that this is not a recreational drug alone. Medical uses of it are extending and saving lives. If you believe violence is a result of the use of marijuana, perhaps you should try it. Very rarely is a person ambitious enough to cause trouble while “high.” So what, I ask you, is the problem with the legalization of marijuana?
