…the plot was foiled. To show people the change in him he got his son to marry a Catholic since his daughter had married a Protestant. Both religions shouldn't have fought over a main religion; they should both accept each religion and lead their own lives their own way accepting the other. If the Kings and Queens had accepted both Catholics and Protestants the Gunpowder plot would never have started up in the first place.
