In “To His Coy Mistress”, Andrew Marvell presents a speaker who appeals to his lover through persuasion. In conclusion, the speaker in “To His Coy Mistress” appealed to his lover through persuasion and John used the same method of persuasion to gain this female trust. When the speaker said he would adore her for thousands of years (13-18), he was attempting to gain her trust.
