To Kill A Mockingbird: An American Classic
To Kill A Mockingbird The story To Kill a Mockingbird took place in the era when racial prejudice is ever present in the small town in Alabama called Maycomb. The novel evolves in the life of a little girl named Scout, together with her older brother Jem, their friend Dill, and their lawyer father Atticus Finch. The whole story started in the summer when the siblings met Dill, due to their curiosity to their mysterious
starting from the open-minded Scout, to the heroic Atticus, whose courage was unheard of on that age of time, and also strange but very normal Boo Radley. Reading it would transport someone in the time where life was simple but also harsh, and being different was something evil. Experiencing Maycomb through the eyes of an innocent child was truly engrossing, thus making To Kill a Mockingbird to me an American classic never to be forgotten.
