Treaty of Versailles
World War I ended on November 11, 1918, and the Treaty of Versailles was written soon after. The Treaty of Versailles, often known as the Peace Treaty, marked the beginning of a great period of poverty in Germany. The diplomats attending the Versailles Peace Conference intended to draft a general peace treaty to end the state of war and to redraw the map of Europe. To represent the United States at the Peace Conference was Woodrow Wilson.
