When I hear friends complain about having to visit their nearby relatives, I can remember myself saying the same thing not so long ago. Taking people for granted is never smart—another thing grandma taught me. I’m always quick to remind my friends that if they take the time to listen to their relatives, they might actually take something very important with them. I did with my talks with grandma and I am happy that I’m able to look back without regret.
