There are many shapes and sizes of people that follow a mass movement, but according to Eric Hoffer in his book The True Believer, all the people have some peculiarities in common with one another. No matter if it is religious movements, nationalist movements, or social revolutions, each person in a mass movement seem to follow a certain mold. …would push them apart. But, with his writings and thinking heavily about this matter, I realized that hatred does in fact bring them together. This whole book had this effect on me. I had never looked a mass movement in this light before and this book really opened my eyes. Not one thing in this book was not accurate on a mass movement. This book may not strike everyone, but it did get my attention.
