On April 19th, 1775 the first shots of the American Revolution were fired and the war lasted until July 4th 1776 when Independence was claimed. In the end the colonist finally "glued" together and won their freedom and went on to start a country that promoted the freedom of man. One common goal shared by all Americans was the right to freedom.
