Society restricted women for centuries to never aspire to be more than dependent on a man. But many females during this time period were not satisfied, were not happy with being just a wife and mother, and longed for something to advance themselves in. <Tab/>In conclusion, women's scientific discoveries were rarely talked about or aknowledged. Women slowly gained more recognition though as they furthured science. Along the way they expirienced support and oppostion, by both males and females. But a few of the women mentioned up above contributed greatly to society and gained new ground for the female race.
