Women's role in "The Odyssey"

…of his female characters. On one hand, it seems that Homer was kind of a sexist person, in that he made all of his women very manipulative and tricky. One the other hand, even though his women did not seem to have very thoughtful or extremely kind personalities, they all were very powerful.
