A normal day at work can be quite exhausting. As soon as we clock in something needs to be done. At least that is what my boss says even if everything looks ready to go. Most of the time the dishes have not been washed from the day shift. When I get to work, I usually have to wash them since the day workers were too lazy to finish their job. But that is just …

…the restaurant. This job involves more than just the plates and silverware. The utensils used by each of the cooks have to be washed as well as the pots and pans. Every night at the Emerald Grille we go through this routine. The same thing every day: prepare for the night shift, cook, and clean. It is rather tiring and when we get through cleaning, it is time to go home and hit the sack.
