…had ways of thanking the gods for their food, water, and wood necessary to survive. If they did not thank the gods for their provisions, they believed that the gods would become angry with them and not provide any longer. The San Juan Pueblo Indians had an extremely respectable view of the world, and of Earth itself. Their symbolism shows respect for their surroundings, and also that they were honorable in their ways of life.
