…Without rationing there would have been problems with keeping up the supplies and cost U.S some more economic problems. Most of the general population of U.S, followed the rationing rules correctly. Some Americans while under rationing, collectively, tried to collect rubber, scrap metal, rags, paper, and grease to stretch the national supplies. With policies like these, America survived the war on its own, even though it had just been through the Great Depression.
