Boxing was introduced to the United States after many rules were implemented because many white gentlemen in the United States thought that it was not a gentlemen’s sport. The blacks in Britain and African-Americans have had a huge impact on the sport of boxing. It began as a blood sport in the Greek era and has lasted and evolved into the sport, as we know it today.
