Mummification-Egypt and Peru

Most people believe mummies are from Egypt, wrapped in bandages and buried deep inside a pyramid. Egyptian mummies are the most familiar to the majority ,however, mummies have been found in many places around the world such as Greenland, China and the Andes Mountains and are not always deliberately mummified. …of people and these goods. The quipu was a series of colored, knotted strings, with the type of knot indicating a number, and the knot’s placement marking units of 1, 10, 100, or more. All the cords hung from a main string, and their positions and colors likely signaled what was being counted such as gold, corn, or other goods. Another notable addition to the Inca culture are the structures they built that are still standing today.
