As a direct result of the September 11th terrorists attacks the city of New York has suffered from staggering economic loses. The United States government, immediately, allocated 20 billion dollars towards the cleanup process, but the state authorities continue to calculate the astronomical absence of income suffered from the attacks, also. economic programs devised by federal, state, and city authorities are enacting budget proposals, which would deplete the funding going towards programs not emphasizing immediate economic relief for the falling economy. The authorities are viewing the allocation of funds from a utilitarian moralistic view because all of New York’s citizens will suffer from a sagging economy and the greatest amount of happiness is achieved for the greatest amount of people when the economy is stable.
