…world, which lies not calm eyes or braided hair,” In line twenty-six he changes tense and starts to talk about the men that are fighting now, and whether they should accept a nation invading, or they should fight back and die. This can be related to “Dulce Et Decorum Est” where the message of the whole poem is that dying for your country is not sweet and fitting, it is futile and lacks all glory.
