A Critique of Friends in American Culture

All forms of media, from literature to television and news magazines stem from and in turn create a particular sense of culture. Culture is projected and absorbed from advertisements that convince consumers to buy products to newscasters who pitch their own opinions to convince audiences that their reasoning is the best. …whole life. Even Chandler, a guy who comes from such a troubled and abnormal home can live a normal and justified life. In fact, all of the characters have their own accomplishments from their pasts. It just goes to show you that anyone can overcome a problem they have. “Friends” does this weekly as they battle through their lives and backgrounds to find true comfort and companionship in their love lives, jobs, and each other.
