A Man of Controversy,

…However, these actions that he had been criticized for are probably the main reasons why Russia is where it is today. Yes, Russia’s economy is bad, yes, it may not be living the best life styles; but Russians are living a life that is free from the worry of an all out nuclear war with the West. Because of Khrushchev’s efforts, Russia can now live in safety that couldn’t be found before.
