A Worn Path

I personally liked the written story of “A Worn Path” better than the movie. I really did not notice many differences between the two. However, I felt that the story left more to my own imagination that did the film. In both the book and movie, we see an old Negro woman walking from her home in the country to town. She is wearing the same clothing in the film as described in the story. …

…to face with the hunter as he cruelly tries to scare her by pointing his gun at her. And, I can see the longing on her face as she stares at the framed diploma on the doctor’s wall. It is not hard for me to pick my favorite when choosing between a movie and a book. In a book, I can be the hero. In a movie, one has already been chosen for me.
